And this one's for the big time, people...the serious stuff that just isn't getting responded to here, on account of all those quizzes and such that I just can't resist adding in.

Well, here's the deal--I have started a new blog housed at Blogspot.com, which is enough of a nexus to be haunted by book publishers and the like, and I am going to start putting my seriously intellectual stuff over there, rather than having it get ignored over here.  No offense to anyone, but I need to get some respect for my "raw intellectual power" (real quote about yours truly, though I didn't get the job all the same).

Here's the more professional/scholarly/literary venue for my verborrhea: http://aureantesrealm.blogspot.com

The comments feature is open whether you're a member or not, and I'm also having each post simulcast to my private portfolio group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AureantesRealm --nothing like keeping things easy to remember. Eventually I'll get around to adding it to my website as well...I've been horribly lax there.

At any rate, the quizzes and impishness will remain here, along with some typically Aureantian-articulate thought. But then, this little enclave is my backstage--for goofing off and not worrying about worldly presentation.  I can't neglect it all the time, though, and so there will be some crossing over and putting things in order.  If you're not utterly taken with it, fine--and no need to comment without motive...it's not meant to be quite as much fun as this, and the arguments I put forth are unlikely to be quite as leavened with shared allusions and the like.

If you notice the British accent in the typing, by the way, there's a definite reason for that...but as usual, I'm not going to name names.  I may start dissecting such things on the other blog, though, just to prove how very rational I am in my mental methods, so perhaps there will be more answers there, for those who care to trace such things.

Dawn is upon me, and I must steal away to catch my beasty sleep....more on all this later.
