Hmm, this seems to be all I can get myself to be on this one.....

You Have a Choleric Temperament

You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things.
Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life.
You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation.

You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon.
Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall.
You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.

At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults.
Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion.
A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior.

Proud of my faults....hmm, yep, that I can be. As much so as Hamlet, certainly, with a thin and prickly veil over my ambitions, even though it may deceive me as well as those I'd prefer to have think me meek and modest when I'm naught of the sort...

You Have a Melancholic Temperament

Introspective and reflective, you think about everything and anything.
You are a soft-hearted daydreamer. You long for your ideal life.
You love silence and solitude. Everyday life is usually too chaotic for you.

Given enough time alone, it's easy for you to find inner peace.
You tend to be spiritual, having found your own meaning of life.
Wise and patient, you can help people through difficult times.

At your worst, you brood and sulk. Your negative thoughts can trap you.
You are reserved and withdrawn. This makes it hard to connect to others.
You tend to over think small things, making decisions difficult.

Broody and sulky?--hell yeah!! *snickers* Utterly broodalicious, if I do say so myself.....well, anyhow, you know I don't play up my virtues. Otherwise people might think that I was...what?--virtuous?--wise?--enlightened? *scoffs* That...is a bit much to take...it's easier to play the shadowside, the antihero of my passion-play...unambiguous light and purity is something I left behind long ago with my earliest dreamt-up fictions, the most shameless Mary-Sues. Can't have me standing in the sunlight, can we....?

Your Brain's Pattern

You have a dreamy mind, full of fancy and fantasy.
You have the ability to stay forever entertained with your thoughts.
People may say you're hard to read, but that's because you're so internally focused.
But when you do share what you're thinking, people are impressed with your imagination.

Your Brain's Pattern

Your mind is a firestorm - full of intensity and drama.
Your thoughts may seem scattered to you most of the time...
But they often seem strong and passionate to those around you.
You are a natural influencer. The thoughts you share are very powerful and persuading.

Your Brain's Pattern

Your brain is always looking for the connections in life.
You always amaze your friends by figuring out things first.
You're also good at connecting people - and often play match maker.
You see the world in fluid, flexible terms. Nothing is black or white.

Your Brain's Pattern

Structured and organized, you have a knack for thinking clearly.
You are very logical - and you don't let your thoughts get polluted with emotions.
And while your thoughts are pretty serious, they're anything from boring.
It's minds like yours that have built the great cities of the world!

Your Brain's Pattern

Your mind is a multi dimensional wonderland, with many layers.
You're the type that always has multiple streams of thought going.
And you can keep these thoughts going at any time.
You're very likely to be engaged in deep thought - and deep conversation.

(Okay, I'd have avoided the last one for being too rosy, but it's apt enough in the summary....enh, go figure. I post these things so I don't have to talk about myself overtly--logical enough.)
(There's the question of the century....)

You Are a Visionary Soul

You are a curious person, always in a state of awareness.
Connected to all things spiritual, you are very connected to your soul.
You are wise and bright: able to reason and be reasonable.
Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings.

You have great vision and can be very insightful.
In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself.
Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend.
You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

And, within reason and situation....
You Are a Warrior Soul

You're a strong person and sometimes seen as intimidating.
You don't give up. You're committed and brave.
Truly adventuresome, you are not afraid of going to battle.
Extremely protective of loved ones, you root for the underdog.

You are picky about details and rigorous in your methods.
You also value honesty and fairness a great deal.
You can be outspoken, intimidating, headstrong, and demanding.
You're a hardliner who demands the best from themselves and others.

Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

And now for something completely different....

Your Hair Should Be Orange

Expressive, deep, and one of a kind.
You pull off "weird" well - hardly anyone notices.

*snickers* Okay, okay...."hardly anyone notices"--bollocks they wouldn't! I do believe orange hair would be rather a shift from my normal ambiguous darklight ashgold-brown shade, ruddy though it may be in the proper light. Though, David Bowie fans take note, I have been known for making dramatic changes atimes....:-?
Okay....so I had a dream last night that was in part like it was supposed to be an odd continuation of the Narnia chronicles (and no, I have not gone to see the movie yet) in the "real world", with an echo of the tensely-hiding-in-a-hotel-room bit from Four Weddings and a Funeral (now that I think of it), and a longish scene with Johnny Depp wearing I think a dress shirt and a black leather harness or garter belt or something but nothing else on his nether regions, heading off rather scuttlingly down a long hallway muttering something to the camera, and I was wondering how I'd got into the scene and what I was supposed to be doing in reaction throughout the shoot...and then some epiloguish bit with two maiden-auntish biddies and myself sitting down to a dinner with coconut shrimp and the dominant one of them had split all the shrimp between her and the other, even though the other wasn't that fond of them, and so I said you know, I'd actually like to have some, and so she somewhat shocked and reluctantly put the coconut shrimp on my plate, and they disappeared while I was trying to eat them, but I ordered them back rather firmly and they came....

I'm putting down all this jumble just to show how complicated and downright weird things can be with me...I haven't really bothered analyzing it myself yet (except for ordering the shrimp around), so anyone's welcome to take a crack at it. I don't know what you'll make of Johnny Depp's naked arse, though...I am entertaining the possibility that he might be covering for Stuart Townsend > Dorian Gray as well, as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was on the other night...

There was also a bit with the new parking garage in town, and charts of the planets, and a never-met friend on my LJ list turning up there > at my house to visit me in my relative reclusiveness, which I thought was rather amusing...and no, it actually had nothing to do with the Lolita-wanna-be Floridian/iot in my closet. (Thanks heavens for that...Ancient Pine Resin has no place atall in my current love life, and this was perfectly all decent anyhow) Actually, I think it must have been Charlotte Coleman's hair that brought her, by virtue of resemblance...:-? I was wearing my robe in the daytime and seeming rather weary in a good-spirited but semi-invalidish way, but that would be a given anyhow, considering the field of mutual interest.

And of course, that would also seem to tie in somewhat with my teaching career having taken off lately and doing a lot of substitute-teaching...but this is all trivia, people, niggling trivia that's floating around in my head and making odd little scenarios. If ever I have the chance to travel abroad and meet everyone yet alive who's turned up in my dreams, I suspect there will be a lot of explaining to do................
That is, not so bloody namby-pamby and pandering...as if one's opportunistic abilities said anything about one's actual ideals! Even utter chameleons and courtiers may have moral standards beneath it all...

Your Birth Month is October

You are a natural leader who is able to stand up when no one else can.
Strong and powerful, you tend to overshadow those around you.

Your soul reflects: Gratitude, comfort, and true love

Your gemstone: Tourmaline (Opal, actually--and damn proud of it!)

Your flower: Cosmos (Calendula, more traditionally, but same difference as they're both solar I believe)

Your colors: White and yellow

Hmm. "Gratitude, comfort, and true love." You know, that may be the first time a quiz has dared say that to my face....:-?

Well, I will admit one thing that it did hit rather literally on -- that is, not only am I able to stand up when no one else can, that's actually my preferred time to stand up and take charge of the situation. That, and when the people who are supposedly handling it are just screwing it up royally...well, you know what I mean. A sense of when the situation needs me in particular to solve it, rather than being something that another could do just as well or better. (It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it...*sharpens claws*)

*sighs* I'm not even going to touch the overshadowing -- that was not something I was expecting atall. But anyhow....*fumbles for segue*....hey, let's see what wisdom Rob Brezsny's Free Will Astrology has for me this fine pre-dawn morn! :D

Verticle Oracle card Libra (September 23-October 22)
"Mirrors should think longer before they reflect," said French filmmaker Jean Cocteau. That's especially true for you this week, Libra. You shouldn't automatically believe every bit of feedback about yourself that comes your way, either from mirrors or any other source. Be skeptical of every image that people have of you, and don't sit there passively while they barrage you with their expectations. In order to further upgrade your integrity (a project I hope you're in the midst of), you may have to make yourself immune, at least temporarily, to what everyone thinks of you

I think that's some very good advice there....hmm, particularly seeing as I generally tend to take other people's impressions of me so seriously....usually for ill, or searching I suppose for some vindication of the good -- either way, not too healthy to be depending on it one way or t'other......and by the way, that quote of Jean Cocteau's is a line from Orphee (where's the damn symbols to put that accent on?), which is another one of those charming (okay, rather edgy this time) re-envisionings of traditional material that's well worth the sharing......

Anyhow....seems like it's pretty good to be a Libra, for the moment at least....../:)
