Spring cleaning my LiveJournal flist.....

So, I'm finally checking through my LJ flist and seeing who's reciprocally my 'friend' and who's not...

...and deciding that I need to try to keep my implied social circle here to the size of my actual social circle, and make sure that I'm not just keeping people in my friends list for trivial reasons or shared interests that aren't really that shared.  And I suppose I may as well set a bit of an ultimatum (with a long time-window, but still an ultimatum) for the few individuals whom I've previously friended for some reason but who haven't friended me back, for them to actually check out my profile/writings/etc. and decide whether they want to A., have me on their flist or B., not have me continuing to include them on mine.  Because let's face it, I need to be cutting down on the deadweight online, and it wastes my time to read through the entries of people with whom I really have nothing in common when I could be focusing on the ones that I know are actually on the same page (or at least chapter, or same book) with me. 

So, if you happen to read this and decide on closer inspection that these are loafers and that I'm not actually the kind of interesting you want to keep around you online, then fine and god(s)speed, whether or not you had friended me in the first place.  And if you had friended me through a friend, such as through litharriel, who I finally realized lately has (had?) taken me off her flist some time ago, then you will have to make the decision as to whether I am flistworthy on my own merits, since the two of us can no longer be assumed as "together" in any sense of the word.  Likewise, if you friended her through me, then there is no reason to retain her there if you had only added her on my account, but only if she (or any other past or present friend of mine) holds your interest on her own merits.

Which should go a ways towards clearing things up, except with those people who never check their LJs atall in the first place and so aren't reading what I've written....may have to kick a few chairs to get response there.... :-|

In the meantime, I intend to be a good deal less sparing with my posts, and end that months-long drought of meaningful writing in general, especially seeing as I have some useful subject-filters set up. May still post quizzes though. :-|

[P.S. -- Errol, please remind me to revise/redo all tiger icons in my own style....for some odd reason, I prefer to do my own artwork whenever possible -- control my own personal image or something like that.  Weird obsession, ain't it...?]

I don't remember either...*ponders*...I think it was over something in either otherkin or Otherkin, but can't for the life of me remember just what.

I'm totally cool with you staying, and I do plan to be more mutual with replies and other signs of sociable interest m'self.
