[Letter to AT&T Yahoo Technical Support, case number 149839785]

The problem is with my email, which occasionally (when the system is tired?) boots me out of normal operations and tries to force me to choose between the "new, improved" Yahoo Mail and the "old" version, saying that I need to enable JavaScript to use the new version. I have enabled JavaScript /multiple/ times, but the reason I cannot upgrade to the new system is because I do not have one of the preferred operating systems -- something that is unlikely to be remedied until I get a new computer altogether. I pick the "old email" option so I can continue my work, or (occasionally) reboot to clear the glitch, but it keeps recurring.

The "old" email sucks, to be blunt, and it is not what I have been using anyhow. What I have is supposedly called "Yahoo Mail Classic", it works fine, and and I want to continue using it without these annoying technical bumps and nudges.

I strongly consider revising your technical error/troubleshooting page to include this middle option clearly as a valid default, so that I do not have to waste time and deal with an unquestionably sub-par mail format just because I haven't the resources to support the very latest bells and whistles. I'm sure a lot of customers still running Windows '98 (even without any further official tech support) would agree that this is a very low maneuver in the line of "planned obsolescence."

I'll need to get a new computer soon enough, considering its age and many infirmities, but in the meantime can't the damn email STAY STABLE AND JUST DO WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO?????
